Welcome! My name is Aleksi, or A1win if you will. I'm a game designer by lifestyle; I've designed games since my childhood and never stopped.
The creature to the right is my inner animal, the dreaming red squirrel, as illustrated by a friend of mine.
I properly started out with video game design as a hobbyist level designer for various games, and played my part in the mod scenes of Half-Life and its sequel. Even before that, I was already learning the basics of programming on my very first PC back in 1998.
That year, I made a text adventure game called Käytävä (The Corridor), where you were pitted against random monsters one after another, and which you could play by holding down a number key that stood for "attack"... This method of instantaneous play was not by design. I've come a long way since then.
These days, my weapon of choice is Unity 4, which I'm still in the process of learning (although I can already fire some pretty accurate shots), and StarCraft II Editor as a trusted sidearm.
